Dorcas - a disciple from the village of Joppa that "abounded in deeds of kindness and charity" who the apostle Peter resurrected.  Acts 9:36-43

Teacher Background: I have been teaching, primarily women, for 40 years. While my husband, Fred, and I were stationed in Anchorage, AK, God began to burden my heart about teaching women. I tried every excuse to keep from teaching the womenʽs Sunday School class, even volunteering and teaching a junior girls Sunday School class, while knowing in my heart it was not what God wanted me to do.  During that long and disastrous year, God taught me some very real lessons about putting my will before His will. Lessons, which I have never forgotten, and which have become the underlying focus of my teaching. It is not enough to know Godʼs will, we must obey in every area of our lives. If you want to know Godʼs will for your life and how to apply it, to find peace and be pleasing to the Lord, come join us in Sunday School!

Ages in our class range from mid 30ʼs to 70 plus, and include single moms, married and widowed women. Despite the age differences, as women, we have many things in common that we can share and learn from each other.

Class Lesson Series: Presently, we are completing an in-depth study of the Gospel of John. Beginning March 1st, we will begin a quarterly study of the Minor Prophets, Habakkuk, Haggai and Malachi, along with Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther.
